Swap out that tired lead-acid battery for something that'll actually keep up. The Amptron 48V 78Ah LiFePO4 is built for golf carts, low-speed vehicles and utility EVs that need real grunt without the weight or maintenance hassle of old-school batteries.
Whether you're doing eighteen holes, running deliveries around the property, or keeping a fleet of utility carts moving all day, your battery shouldn't be the thing slowing you down. The Amptron 48V 78Ah LiFePO4 battery is built to handle it — lighter than the old lead-acid brick it's replacing, sealed against the weather, and smart enough to tell you exactly what's going on with it from your phone.
1. Built for the long haul
2500 cycle life. Rated for 2500 charge cycles at full depth of discharge, so it'll keep working long after a comparable lead-acid battery has given up. 160A continuous, 350A peak. Enough grunt to handle hill starts, heavy loads and quick bursts of power without missing a beat.
2. Sealed and tough
IP67 rated. Dust, rain, wash-downs, the lot — this battery is sealed up tight in a powdercoated steel case so it can live outdoors or under a cart seat without a worry. 37kg. Noticeably lighter than the lead-acid equivalent, which means less strain on your cart, trailer or vehicle.
3. Know what's happening, in real time
Bluetooth app monitoring. Check state of charge, voltage, current, temperature and cycle count straight from your phone, no guesswork. RS485/CAN comms port. Hook up an optional colour display or integrate with a compatible inverter or monitoring system.
4. Safety built in
This battery runs a full battery management system (BMS) behind the scenes, protecting against over-charge, over-discharge, short circuit, reverse polarity and overheating, automatically. You just plug in and go.
This battery has smart features such as Bluetooth and CAN/RS485 communication with protocol available on request. The battery has two optional accessories, a wired colour LCD display, and a braking resistor to control regenerative braking overvoltage events.
Features
The Amptron LSV BluEdge battery series is purpose-built for Golf Carts, Low-Speed Electric Vehicles (LSVs), and Utility EVs, delivering high-performance power, extended cycle life, and intelligent battery management. These models come with long cycle life, extra power and smart features allowing real-time monitoring of critical performance data directly from your smartphone or compatible display.
Optional accessories include a braking resistor (to stop regenerative overvoltage) and an LCD display.

The BluEdge series batteries are independently tested to comply with the IEC62619 safety standard and are UN38.3 certified. The batteries also comply with all the requirements of the AS/NZS 3001.2:2022 (“Connectable electrical installations and supply arrangements”) standard for RVs, as well as the marine standard AS/NZS 3004.2:2014 (“Electrical installations—Marinas and boats, Part 2: Boat installations”). Our focus on standards compliance gives you peace of mind for the safe, reliable, and compliant performance of the batteries.

High Performance and Reliable Power
Purpose built to power electric motors such as used in Golf Carts, Low-Speed Electric Vehicles (LSVs), and Utility EVs with high power cells and high performance BMS capable of reliably delivering high currents.
The power cells offer long reliable performance with a cycle life of 3500 cycles at 100% Depth of Discharge.
The BluEdge LSV series is backed by an Australian based 5-year warranty.
Brake Resistor Ready
These batteries are pre-fitted with a connection for an optional Brake Resistor (optional part AT-DL-GF-UART-BRAKERST-AV01). The Brake Resistor provides improved safety and control in downhill conditions when the battery is fully charged, by maintaining safe speeds and protecting the health of the battery system.
Ultra Safe
The advanced Battery Management Safety System provides comprehensive protection to the battery with high precision configurable protection and monitoring features, that protect the battery and carefully manages the safe long-term performance of each individual cell and the battery pack (or a bank of inter-connected batteries).
THE BMS PROTECTION FEATURES:
-
Low Voltage Protection Switch – Automatically disconnects the discharge circuit to prevent damage to the cells if the battery drains below a pre-set voltage.
-
Over Voltage Protection Switch – Automatically disconnects the charging circuit to prevent damage to the cells if the battery is being charged above a pre-set voltage.
-
Short Circuit and Over Current Protection Switch – Automatically disconnects the discharge circuit if the discharge current exceeds pre-set limits.
-
Reverse Polarity Protection Switch – Automatically disconnects the charge and discharge circuits if a reverse polarity condition is detected.
-
Thermal protection – Built-in thermal sensors will automatically disconnect the charge and discharge circuits when excessive temperatures are detected.
The system will also report any alarm and protection statuses through its communication interfaces to allow the user to trouble shoot and identify any issues.
The batteries are independently tested to comply with the IEC62619 safety standard, is UN38.3 certified, and also comply with the requirements of the AS/NZS 3001.2:2022 Connectable electrical installations and supply arrangements standard, giving you peace of mind for the safe, reliable, and compliant performance of the batteries.
Really Smart Communication
The sophisticated Battery Management System (BMS) not only takes care of the safe performance of the batteries, it also gathers detailed information on the battery, such as the Running State, State of Charge (SOC), Voltage, Current, Temperature, individual cell voltages, Alarm / Protection statuses etc. This information can then be accessed externally via Bluetooth with the Android or iOS app, or via CANBUS or S485 through the communication port.
For professional installers requiring more advanced integration, the batteries can be connected to a PC via an RS485 communication port, allowing monitoring from PC based software with the ability to make certain advanced adjustments to the BMS parameters, or to develop customised integration via the RS485 communications protocol. The software and communication adapters are available from Amptron to qualified customers.
External Colour Display
An optional colour screen display can be added to the battery system to display battery information. The display will connect to the batteries via the RS485 port and will visually display all key battery parameters to the user.
The display will also have an embedded audible alarm, that will be triggered in the event of a fault/alarm condition. This can be also used to comply with the new marine AS/NZS 3004.2:2014 standard for Lithium-Ion batteries.

Robust Tough Design
Enhanced shock and vibration protection is provided via enhanced framing around the cell packs to prevent internal movement of the cells and/or electronics that may result in failures or metal fatigue over time. This makes these models very suitable for applications in rough offroad conditions, marine environments, and industrial applications where a robust construction is required. Amptron takes steps to ensure that all internal wiring is protected, and high-quality internal connectors and bus bars are used so intermittent failure modes are not introduced in harsh environments.
Uncompromised Waterproofing
Amptron has designed a unique triple-layered moisture protection. The triple-layered design provides three barriers against potential moisture ingress:
A method to inject the sealing adhesives in all seams to minimise the probability of small gaps/air pockets that may allow some moisture or moist air entering the battery case.
The whole cell pack and electronics are wrapped in a sealed membrane. Even if any moisture finds a way to penetrate the seams of the outer casing, or if any condensation should form internally in the battery case, then the membrane would protect moisture getting in contact with the cells or electronics.
Additionally, the electronics is conformally coated providing resistance to corrosion of individual components on the PCB.
