FAQs

If your questions is not listed below, please ask in the form below:

What's the difference between the standard 12V 100Ah and the Slimline version?

The standard model (ABS casing) is IP67, supports up to 4 batteries in parallel with CANbus communication, and has a higher 400A peak discharge. The Slimline (aluminium casing) is IP50, focuses on compact fitment for tight spaces, and has a 300A peak but 200A continuous — same as the standard. Choose standard for maximum waterproofing and parallel comms; choose Slimline if physical space is the constraint.

Can I run a 2000W inverter directly from this battery?

Yes. At 200A continuous, the battery can sustain up to approximately 2,560W of draw. A 2000W inverter at full load draws around 180A — within the continuous rating

Will it integrate with my Victron Cerbo GX?

Yes. The CANbus interface is compatible with Victron GX devices, enabling the battery to appear in the VRM portal and communicate SOC, voltage, and BMS alarms automatically. Use the appropriate Amptron-to-Victron CANbus cable.

Is it suitable for use in my marine installation under AS/NZS 3004.2:2014?

Yes — the BluEdge is fully compliant. To also satisfy the audible alarm requirement of the marine standard, add the optional RS485 colour display, which includes an embedded audible alarm triggered by any BMS fault condition.

How do I register for the 5-year warranty?

Register at amptron.au/product-registration after purchase. The 5-year warranty is Australian-based. Loan battery options are available during warranty claims, subject to availability and terms.
