The arrival of the EcoFlow River 2 has been long-awaited in Australia, and we've been lucky to secure a limited amount from the very first shipment!
Rather than just listing all the specs, we though we'd take you through the features that are new of stand out to us.
For us, this is the biggest drawcard of the River 2. With upgraded long-lasting LFP battery chemistry, you can now charge and empty RIVER 2 over 3000 times before expriencing any battery degradation. That’s pretty much 10 years of everyday use and 6x longer than the industry average. With LFP cells, RIVER 2 Series is safe, durable, and highly efficient, even in warm temperatures.
The River 2 beats the industry charging speed standard, fully charging in only 60 minutes (or 70 minutes for River 2 Pro . That’s 5x faster than other portable power stations on the market and 38% quicker than previous River Models.
EcoFlow are so confident in this product, they are backing it with a huge 5-Year warranty. Combined with their impressive after-sales service, this is another huge drawcard and provides the consumer with great peace of mind.
While the original Rivers had an entry-level UPS functionality, there has been some big improvements with the River 2. With a switchover speed of less than 30ms, you won't even know the power was down. This now makes the smaller River 2 units viable options for emergency power supply for keeping essentials such as CPAP machines running if the power drops out.

RIVER 2 Series has an AC output of up to 800W.*⁵ Need to power a hair dryer, microwave, or electric kettle? Crank it up to 1600W with X-Boost mode to run up to 80% of high-wattage home appliances.
