FAQs

If your questions is not listed below, please ask in the form below:

Will this fit in my 48V golf cart — Club Car, EZ-GO, or Yamaha — without modifying the battery compartment?

The AT-LFP-48-75BV01 measures 520 x 268 x 228mm and weighs 35kg, which is significantly more compact than a full bank of six 8V or four 12V lead-acid batteries wired in series. In most Club Car DS, EZ-GO RXV, and Yamaha Drive platform battery trays, this single unit will fit with room to spare. Always measure your compartment's internal length, width, and height before ordering, and confirm that your existing 48V charger supports a LiFePO4 charge profile (58.4V charge voltage). Call 1300 543 376 for model-specific fitment confirmation.

How many rounds of golf will I get on a single charge?

Under typical playing conditions on a standard 18-hole course with moderate terrain, 75Ah at 48V provides a genuine two full rounds of range before needing to recharge. Hilly courses, heavily loaded carts, or frequent high-speed driving will reduce this. Flat courses and conservative driving can extend it. Unlike lead-acid, the flat LiFePO4 discharge curve means motor performance stays consistent right through the second round rather than degrading as the battery depletes.

Do I need a new charger, or will my existing 48V golf cart charger work?

You need a 48V LiFePO4-compatible charger set to a 58.4V charge voltage. Standard 48V lead-acid golf cart chargers (which charge to 56V to 57V) are not compatible and will either undercharge the battery or trigger a BMS cutout. Amptron's 48V LiFePO4 charger range is the recommended option. Do not attempt to charge this battery with a lead-acid profile charger — contact us on 1300543376 for charger pairing advice before purchasing.

Is 75A continuous discharge enough for my golf cart motor on hills?

Most standard 48V golf cart motors draw 50A to 70A at moderate load on flat terrain and up to 150A to 180A on steep inclines during startup. The 75A continuous rating comfortably handles sustained flat and moderate incline operation. The 200A peak (5 seconds) covers the high startup current spike on steep hills or heavily loaded carts. For carts used predominantly on very steep terrain or carrying heavy loads continuously, the Amptron 48V 105Ah LSV BluEdge model with its 180A continuous and 350A peak rating is the more suitable upgrade.

Does this battery have Bluetooth monitoring or a display for state of charge?

No. But you can add 500A Bluetooth Shunt Monitor to use Amptron Link app via Bluetooth at your fingertips
